Yeah I think it’s a case of being stuck on the fence and getting used to that place. It’s probably fear of sticking our necks out, being criticised, not being accepted, being told we’re not good enough. It stops creativity before it starts. Ray Bradbury said that self consciousness is a killer of creativity.
