I think it’s fair to say at our place of understanding, that the entire idea of the human organism, and by extension the universe, as a machine with separate parts that can be taken out and added, is silly. Humans are not cars and what lies outside the boundary of our skin is as much “me” and what’s inside my skin. As such is the case for cognitive functions and their relationship with the physical organism. It’s all one happening.
