100% agree. This current idea of productivity that has become a predominant mindset especially within the startup culture, is a complete fallacy. There is a truth in it, but too much commentary and copy cat articles have polluted and confused just what it means to be productive.

I was talking only the other day with a songwriter/musician friend of mine. He said about creating things; “I come alive in that timeless moment of creation, when I’m so ‘inside’ the idea that the ‘real world’ fades to the background”
This is where we can be most ‘productive’. Productivity shouldn’t be about how many emails you send, or how many boxes you tick on a to-do list. But that’s what it’s become for many many people. I think we lost the ability to hear our own voice. Too much noise…
