050 - How To Become A Patreon

I have so many ideas for books it’s not funny. Ideas are easy
My biggest challenge as a creative person however is focus and follow through on one of those ideas.
The problem with having so many creative ideas is that none ever stimulate me long enough to generate an reliable income.
That has to change.
As you probably know by now my primary topic of interest in Creativity and mostly everything I write is on this subject. I’ve been considering my studies and my writing and no better way to blend the two than by writing a book on creativity with an anchor in psychology.
The primary question in the book is how to become more creative.
Now, if I’m going to write this and successfully publish this work then I need to fund it. I really don’t want to be writing for other people. What I mean is I’d rather not have to seek copywriting work from others. I’m just not energised enough by that.
I worked for other people for many years with my primary focus being solving their problems. I don’t want that again. Other people are a pain in the arse!
Gimme a hell yeah if you agree!
Anyway, even if you don’t agree, even if you love to write stuff for other people’s websites and get paid by the word, I’m sticking with my premise.
So I’m making a public commitment. The Sleeping Genius (still a working title) is my commitment to my studies and my art and by shouting it out loud I solidify it by committing to others too.
I’ve made commitments to book ideas in the past and some of those are half finished. My wish here is that this does not go the same road.
:-) I’m confident it won’t.

I think that’s only right and proper.
