Larry G. Maguire
The Sunday Letters Podcast is the weekly audio newsletter from organisational psychologist Larry Maguire on the meaning & purpose of daily work and our paradoxical relationship with it. We explore how we may break free from tiresome means-to-an-end labour and take command of their own working lives. Topics include solo working, careers, entrepreneurship, small business economics, society and culture. Content follows the written newsletter, which goes out to subscribers every Sunday.

Why Do You Work? 🛠 • Why Do You Work? Part 2 🛠 • Accepting Where You Are • You Better Love It ❤️ we spend most of our waking hours working. Most of us do what we do for money, to pay bills, to buy stuff, stuff that gives us a temporary buzz. If we could choose, if money wasn't the objective, I wonder would we still do what we do? And what about that thing we do... Is it so important? Is it possible to love something that we'd rather not be doing? Even just for a little while, while we build the foundation for that other thing we'd rather be doing? I think we need to do just that because to hate or resent what we have or where we are is to set ourselves up for failure. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sunday-letters/message
